Founder & How We Started
If I ever believed God wanted me pregnant, barefoot, and in the kitchen, this was the time. I had just found out I was pregnant with my third child and I was submerged in depression and frustration.
I loved my children and the one to come, but the thought of having a third child was not in my plans. Honestly, I did not feel qualified as a mother. I had two children already and I believed I was failing them.
After a point in my pregnancy I began to face the anger. I let go, and I began to be filled with God’s love, grace, and revelation of purpose for my life beyond homemaking.
God is so amazing! He confirmed in my own heart that He was up to something greater than I could imagine. First, He had to heal many of the dysfunctional areas of my life and let me know they were not beyond His healing abilities.
Secondly, He confirmed to me that being a homemaker was not the only reason I was created. However, I needed to embrace it as second only to loving the Lord and I needed to do it joyfully.
Through that experience, I grew to love and believe I was good enough to be a mom, to have something for myself such as business in addition to homemaking. I began working and utilizing my gifts as a motivational speaker, trainer, author, and became the founder of Homemaker CEO.
I understood that I couldn’t be the only one who felt this way and wanted to help other women who felt lack of purpose and worth in other areas of their life beyond homemaking to embrace what they were called to do.
Through the Homemaker CEO organization, I believe we can inspire one another as we discover our talents, gifts, and abilities and pursue our purpose at home and in our business!
I hope my story encourages you to reach your maximum potential and still give your all to both your “mommy” ministry and your professional life.
